About
First thing’s first – I think about food way too much. I am known to troll recipe databases and cooking blogs on my lunch break. The Saturday morning trip to the farmers market is always one of the highlights of my weekend. I have a history of e-mailing my favorite recipes and home-made creations to co-workers, family and friends. One day, after another fruitless search through my “sent mail” for a dish I made last year, I decided to keep a proper chronicle of my kitchen exploits, and thus “I Cook with Wine” was born.
About the Food:
I enjoy simple, healthy, flavorful food and try to incorporate as many fresh, seasonal ingredients as possible. That said, I am human and cannot resist the temptation for home-baked goodies from time to time and, of course, a glass of red in the midst of my culinary adventures. I am a transitioning vegetarian who eats fish, so most recipes (with the exception of some older ones and family favorites) will be meatless. Basically, you can expect a mix of original recipes and internet treasures on this blog, with an emphasis on natural, healthy everyday food and some special occasion treats mixed in. Variety is the spice of life, after all!
